Quintet Private Bank was founded in Luxembourg in 1949 and has developed into an international private banking group with a network of specialist European banks. In the UK, its principal wealth management business is Brown Shipley, which was founded in Liverpool in 1810 and has more than two centuries of banking heritage. Brown Shipley became part of Quintet through its acquisition by KBL in 1992 and remains the group's UK private banking brand. Today, Brown Shipley combines its longstanding UK presence with Quintet's international private banking and wealth management platform.
